Sustainability

Our progressive approach to sustainable produce is geared towards energy efficient production and minimising our environmental footprint. This includes improving our environmental impact through the following initiatives:

Reducing our product excess

The fresh food industry is well known for its large volumes of excess unsellable produce.  Most of this unsellable produce is healthy, nutritious and delicious but merely undesirably shaped.  Freshlink Australia is on the forefront of innovation in Western Australia in reducing our excess. Freshlink Australia has invested in a new processing facility to convert delicious and tasty misshaped produce into an easy convenient snack. Ready to eat on the go or incorporate into healthy meals without the need to peel and cut. Click here to see our innovative new ready to eat BABY CARROT range.

Decreasing water usage through recycling

Water is a scarce resource globally but particularly in Australia with many areas devastated by drought. Doing our bit to keep Australia’s water supply flowing we have over the course of the past 3 years cut down our water usage by a massive 60%.

Eco packaging solutions

Freshlink Australia is currently researching and taking steps to source alternative sustainable packaging solutions. Keep your eyes on our website for an update on this initiative. We are very excited to able to offer this option to our customers in the very near future.

Solar energy

Freshlink Australia is situated on a rural farming property in sunny Western Australia. To capitalise on natures abundant energy source and to reduce our carbon footprint Freshlink Australia has recently installed a large solar energy system at our processing facility. In doing so we have reduced our energy usage from the grid to very low levels. We pride ourselves on our commitment to being an environmentally sustainable business.
